Week beginning April 18
Father in heaven, I am grateful to be your child. There is nothing better than knowing that your loving-kindness is ever-present. Day by day I am becoming more impacted by this amazing truth. Father of grace, may I grow in grace before your eyes, till I reach the perfect spiritual maturity of Christ Jesus my Lord, full of peace, love, and joy, by the power of your Spirit who lives within me. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning April 11
Lord, I praise your name and I thank you that you are not distant from us and aloof, but rather very close and accessible. Thanks for the gift of prayer, and thanks for having called me into a covenantal relationship with you, a friendship that I cherish as the most valuable thing in my life. Christ Jesus, my Saviour, my Lord and my God, revealer of the Father, I will love you forever, and worship the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning April 4
Christ Jesus, Lord of all, I stand in awe contemplating your glory, raised from the dead and Lord forever. You have raised me up as well from the torment of sin and all my wrong ways and thoughts, and you brought me close to you. You have given me the Spirit, and I am getting stronger each day. You are my Lord and my saviour. God almighty, I will live in your light, and under your care, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning March 28
Lord Jesus Christ, you are king of glory, and I am a pilgrim who but for your mercy would be lost, and if not for your grace would have perished. You came to us, and you broke down the barrier, and you ended the enmity. Lord Jesus, King of Peace, as you enter into Jerusalem to go to the cross, enter into my heart that I may live for your glory and my worship may be pure, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning March 21
Lord Jesus Christ, you are my shepherd and my companion, my saviour and my God. I cry out to you in the midst of my sorrows. Bring me help and deliverance and strengthen my faith. May your Spirit lead me into victory when I am being tested. And may your name be praised, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning March 14
Father in heaven, God of the covenant, Lord almighty, have mercy on me a sinner. In Christ Jesus I ask your forgiving grace, and your guidance. May the incorruptible seed bring forth the fruit of the Holy Spirit in me. I am your child. In Christ, I dare to approach to praise your name, to sit at your feet, and to receive your blessing. Send me, Lord, to be a light in the world! Make my feet to become beautiful, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning December 20
Dear God and Heavenly Father, thank you for letting me know the true meaning of Christmas, so that it may be a time of worship for me, as well as a time of celebration. Thank you for blessing me with the love and the light and the life of Jesus Christ. I thank you for the gift of Christmas, and the grace that I have found in Christ, the Eternal Word Incarnate, my saviour and my God. I pray that in your mercies you may bring light and life to all, and that many may discover the true meaning of Christmas, and be blessed, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning December 13
Give me, Lord Jesus, the grace of knowing you better every day. It is a privilege to be celebrating your birthday. Like the Magi, I want to bring you gifts. What is it that you want me to give you this year as my Christmas gift? Help me find out, Lord. Help me search my heart, my dear saviour, and teach me who I am, truly, that I may find out what are the spiritual malaises which I need to acknowledge, so that you may heal them. For you are my God and my only hope, and I love you, Jesus. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning December 6
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, and I will praise your name! Father of kindness and mercy, strengthen my faith and teach me to trust you. I want to grow in the confidence of your love and providence, that I may shine and witness with your own righteousness and goodness reflected in me. I pray that people may see you when they look at me, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning November 29
Father of beauty and glory, Father of Jesus Christ, our Lord, I praise your name and I lift up my heart in gratitude and awe of you. Enlighten me, Lord, and bring me to the fullness of your holiness, and to the full fellowship with the children of light. I await with patience and with expectation your coming. I hope for the manifestation of your knowledge, and your peace. Give me this day a glimpse of the glory to come, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning November 22
Almighty God, everlasting Father, who has revealed yourself to us in Christ Jesus our Lord and saviour, I praise your name together with all creation. Prince of Peace, King of kings, good shepherd of our souls, I come to you in trust and in humility; I acknowledge my need for guidance and care; I thank you for your salvation, and for your unfailing love. Lord of Hosts, protect me and deliver me, I pray, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning November 15
Heavenly Father, I want to know you. I want to see you, like Philip. And I know I should look at Jesus the Son, who invites us still to come and learn and find rest for our souls. Give this rest, Lord, and give me your guidance. Be the Light in my ways, for I am your little one, ignorant and lost. I am weary, Lord, but I am also willing to take up the yoke, for I trust you, and you are my saviour, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning November 8
God Almighty, Lord of Hosts, I praise your name as I remember your miraculous deeds in the past, I acknowledge the wonders of your gracious providence, and the triumphs of your care and of your mercy. Today I remember with gratitude the deliverance you have given us in times of war, saving us from a terrible future, bringing us peace and the hope of justice. Prepare my heart as I prepare to worship you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning November 1
God of all truth and all glory, Father of Lights, I come to you with an open heart to learn about your ways, your Word, and your will to me. Teach me, Lord, and guide me! May the holy words of your Sacred Scriptures be always present in my mind. Thank you, Lord for the freedom we have to study the Bible. Thank you for the Reformation we today commemorate. Help us to continue the work started by the Reformers of old. Faithful Master and Lord, teach us to be faithful too, and help us to understand what the Bible is all about, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning October 25
God Most High, Father of power and glory, who controls the waters, who blesses us with rain, who is with us in times of tears and sorrow, I come to this house of prayer and worship to praise your name and witness to your love. I am content and I am grateful for all the beautiful little things that you provide, and that I see and experience, all the blessed little moments of my life. May your wisdom pour down upon us and cool us down bringing hope and tranquility. Lord Jesus Christ, your presence brings joy, goodness, and beauty into my life, and I celebrate the fellowship we have by the presence of the Spirit. As Solomon said (SS 1 :2), “your love is more delightful than wine,” Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning October 18
God of all mercy, thank you for a new day. My heart is glad, encouraged, and refocused. I love to come to your sanctuary, and I love to sing your praises amidst those who respect you, and to earnestly learn from you the ways of salvation and wisdom, and to grow in grace and in Christ the king. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner. Be my guide and my light, that I may also shine, as I strive to live according to your holy teachings. Lord, I love your lessons of love, but sometimes I get distracted. Change me, and give me the enthusiasm I need to receive your instruction, and to practice it, so that my training may be satisfactory and useful to you, Lord, as I make myself available to service, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning October 11
God Most High, thank you for teaching me how to pray, and for blessing me with spiritual joy, and for bringing me to your church. My heart is filled with gratitude, for you have been good to me. You protect me and guide me. Your providential care is constant and reliable. Even in times of trouble, you give me strength to stand firm, and wisdom to proceed. Thank you, Lord, even for my problems and my enemies, for they help me to grow spiritually, and to become a better person. Thank you, Lord, most of all, for having called me to belong to the congregation of the blessed, for qualifying me to share in the inheritance of the saints. Thank you for your mercy and love, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning October 4
Father of Love and might, God Most High, I ask you to bless me this morning with a revitalized piety, a new understanding, and a renewed trust in you. May your Spirit lead me in worship, and open my heart and my mind to receive the incorruptible seed of your Eternal Word. Help me, Christ, as I strive to become of use to you in the fight against the ways of the world, and against my own sinful inclinations. My heart I offer you today, Lord, promptly and sincerely, as a living sacrifice. If I suffer, may I serve you in my suffering. If I am blessed with riches of all kinds, may I serve you with them. Whether I live or die, may my days and my death become an instrument in your hands, and a witness to all of my faith and of your love, God of mercy, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning September 27
Lord Jesus Christ, I come today to this house of prayer to celebrate your redemptive sacrifice. I have achieved forgiveness, total and definitive forgiveness, by grace through faith alone. Merciful God, give me a clear perception of my sinfulness, and an even clearer understanding of the events of Calvary, and the awesome power of the cross of Christ. May my daily life reflect my gratitude and devotion to you, my saviour and my redeemer. Lead me now to the green pastures and the quiet waters of nourishment and repose, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning September 20
Merciful Father, eternal and almighty, I am here to praise you and to acknowledge your authority over me, your ownership of my being, your Lordship over my life. I am nothing before your glory. You are everything to me, and my love for you is real and has no boundaries, just as I know your love for me is real and infinite. Many are the days in which I am confronted by the crude reality of evil around me, and also the crude veracity of hypocrisy and cruelty among apparently religious persons with whom I need to live. Help me, Father, to deal with all that with spiritual tranquility, courage, and compassion for those who are controlled by the evil one. Lead me into worship, helping me to concentrate upon your Word and your wisdom, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning September 13
God almighty, Father of love, merciful Lord, praised be your name forever. I’m grateful for your protection, care, and providence. Great is your faithfulness, Lord! It is a great privilege to worship you in the company of those who live immersed in your infinite ocean of compassion. I am weak, but you are the Almighty One, the Eternal. Prepare me now, Father, to be in your presence with words of worship, and may your Spirit continue to bless me and help me, not only now but every day of my life, as I proceed toward my destiny, which is to live in your dwelling place in heaven, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God and Lord forever. Amen.
Week beginning March 15
Have mercy, Lord. Clear me from hidden and unconscious faults. Forgive me for the sins of omission. For I am very much aware that no one can discern completely one’s own lapses and errors. Have mercy, Lord, upon the people of our nation and of the whole world. Bring them conviction of their sins, repentance, and healing. Heal our country and our planet, God Almighty. Visit us with your surprising grace. Thank you for calling us in Christ into your Kingdom, and for the peace you give us that we are under your care, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning March 8
Have mercy, Father, for I am a sinner. My faith is weak, my hope falters, my love fails to reach the heights of your demands. I am vain and proud, I am lazy and egotistical. I claim to be a Christian, and carry that name without living a life that impresses my neighbours for its purity, its excellence, and its example of unselfish sacrifice. I claim to be a disciple of Christ, but I have failed to live accordingly. In fact, I have failed to recognize my sins, my failures and how far I am to live a life that is pleasing to you. Help me, I pray; heal me, I pray; hold me tight and bring me closer to you, I pray. Have mercy, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning March 1
Have mercy, Father, for I have sinned against you and my fellow human beings. In this fallen world of ours, we live immersed in sinfulness. It is all around us, and it is difficult not to get entangled in collective sins of commission and omission. Plus, I have not always been able to control my temper, and the evil inclinations which have roots firmly planted in the soil of my heart. I regret it very much! Have mercy, Lord! Lead me into your paths of righteousness. Mend my heart, I humbly plea. Teach me your ways of justice and kindness. Have mercy, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning February 23
Thank you, Father Almighty, for your many blessings.
I come before you this morning to express my profound gratitude for all you have done for me. You’ve been showering blessings upon our whole congregation, and I praise your name! Your loving-kindness has no limits. I do not deserve it, for my heart is callous, and I am a sinner. And yet, your love for me is constant, your mercies are new every morning, and your saving grace in Christ Jesus has redeemed me from condemnation, perdition, and endless misery. Lord, keep me humble, forgiven and forgiving, and help to walk in holiness and to expand your kindness, your mercies, and your grace to all around me, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning February 16
God of grace, Father of mercy, I humbly bow and ask for your counsel. Give me your guidance, Lord, for your name’s sake. My soul thirsts for your Word, for divine wisdom and the knowledge of your love. Bless me this morning with the incomparable gift of feeding my soul with the bread that gives me life, eternal life, divine life. My mouth is open, like that of a bird in his nest. Please feed me and let me grow spiritually, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen
Week beginning February 9
Almighty God, King of kings, Lord of hosts, your glory is over all the Earth. Have mercy on me a sinner. I hide myself in Christ’s righteousness, and approach you with reverence and regret for my sins. Thank you, for your forgiveness and loving-kindness, for mercy and grace, for guidance and wisdom. Thank you for honouring me by listening to my prayers and worship, although I know I have lived in ways that offend you, and I do not deserve your attention and care. You are my Father, you love me, and I’m glad to be in your company, and to have fellowship with you in Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. I know I’ll never walk alone, and I fear no evil, for you are with me, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning February 2
Dear father, I recognize the privilege of living under your care and being in this place of worship. I do not take it for granted. I am grateful that you have touched my heart, and called me, and maintained me under your care. You have been merciful to me throughout the years, and now I want to be merciful to all. Lord, I’m ready to learn to live in love, to be compassionate, to rejoice at the sight of your tender mercies toward all you have chosen, all you have reached, doesn’t matter who they are, or what they might have done, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning January 26
Dear father, I’m so glad to be able to come to this house of prayer and worship this morning. I’m ready to present myself to you, sinner that I am, in need of your blessings, your help, you guidance, your comfort. Have mercy, Lord. Mercy I ask, and receive me among those who want to be your servants. Thank you for revealing your love for me, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen
Week beginning January 19
O Lord my God, bless me this morning as I turn my eyes and thoughts toward you, and as I come worship with my brothers and sisters in Christ, in humility and faith. I thirst for your presence, for your guidance. Open my mind and my heart to be receptive to your Word. Let me perceive what I cannot see, as I journey toward my final destination, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen
Week beginning January 12
Dear Father in heaven, bless me as I pray, so that my words make sense and my thoughts have meaning before you. I am blessed under your grace, and I don’t want to continue to waste time anymore. Bless me and make me righteous and holy, Lord. Thank you for awakening me spiritually. Thank you for your grace. Give me a proper understanding of who I am and what I need to do to seek you first, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning January 5
God almighty, another year has started, and I still depend on you for everything, and every day I seek you in prayer. My heart is filled with uncertainties and fears, expectations and projects, and humbly I seek your guidance and your protection. Give me inspiration, Lord, I plea, and the courage I need to face the challenges ahead. Change my mind and mold my being according to your wisdom and loving-kindness. May your blessing be upon us all as we raise our voices to express our gratitude and confidence, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen
Week beginning December 29
Father in heaven, may your name be praised. As we approach the end of the year we become apprehensive. Bless us with your peace. Let us understand the tides and the seasons. Teach us to live wisely, according to our age and ministry. Give me your guidance, Lord, and sensitivity to understand how I can serve, and grow spiritually, and become a mature Christian, and a better human being. May all the attributes of Christ Jesus be present in me, so that I may witness His life through my life, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
O God, you have caused this holy night to shine with the brightness of the true Light: Grant that we, who have known the mystery of that Light on earth, may also enjoy him perfectly in heaven; where with you and the Holy Spirit he lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.
Week beginning December 22
God of Love, Father of Mercy, thank you for letting me see one more Christmas season. I marvel once again at the contemplation of all these mysteries which are all so meaningful to me, as to all Christians. I marvel at the loving simplicity of this wondrous day, and all of the details of this narrative. I pray that you give me wisdom and vision to grasp with sensibility the wonders of this combination of glory and simplicity. Loving Father, make me simple too, in my loving-kindness as well as in my meditation, that all the words of my mouth and all the thoughts of my mind may be always pleasant in your presence, and a continuous sequence of praise and witness of your love for me. May my heart be a simple manger for the present of the Saviour within me. This is my request, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning December 15
Almighty God, ruler of Heaven and Earth, my heart is filled with awe as I contemplate your glory and your wisdom. Thank you for the joy of Christmas. In Christ we see your love. You are a god of gracious giving, a God of mercy. You are “God with Us” who humbled yourself in love and came down to us, assuming a human form in Jesus Christ our saviour. This is our awe during the Christmas season: the fragile baby in a manger in the poor city of Bethlehem. Teach me the beautiful lessons of this amazing event, and guide us into the contemplation of your unfathomable redeeming acts, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning December 8
God of Love, God of Lights, my trust is upon you, and my hope is in you, in you I find peace. You have blessed me in the past, and you will bless me in the future. Now I come to this sanctuary to worship you for who you are, and to ask you for your guidance. I have experienced the great and constant miracles of your providential care. In peace I await your response to my cries for mercy. You have blessed us, Lord, and we are thankful. You are our King of Peace, and ready to be anointed with your Holy Spirit, ready to engage into the fullness of true discipleship, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.

Almighty God, I praise your name and give you all the glory. Lead me into true and spiritual worship. May the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be praised! The name which is above all names! Christ’s name which is His identity, and which, in Christ, is becoming our new identity, as we are carved into your perfect character and will by the work of the Holy Spirit. Make us ready for the commissioning that you have given to your church. Make me into a true disciple, I ask you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.
Week beginning November 17
Father in heaven, may your name be praised now and forever! You are good, compassionate, kind and loving. You loved me when I wasn’t lovable; you reached out to me when I was rebellious and against you; you lit up my path when I was infatuated with darkness, lost and wandering away from you. And you gave us your Son that we may be reconciled. Now we live in peace, in a growing friendship. I pray that you help me grow in holiness by the power of the Holy Spirit sent by Christ to live within me. Chisel my inner being and build up my character, and strengthen my faith and my hope, I ask you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen. Amen. Amen.

Help us to worship you with our daily lives. May every day be a day of worship, communion, and service for us. We thank you for the faith heroes of the past, and today we remember the Reformers of the 16th century with gratitude. Help us to be faithful to their legacy, to emulate their courage, and to remember their conquests. God of grace and mercy, teach us about your righteousness and also about your love. Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, One God now and forever. Amen.

Week beginning September 8
Almighty God, Lord of Hosts, Compassionate Father, have mercy on us, we pray, as we approach your throne this morning, and contemplate in awe your glory and your power. We are very fragile; we are your little ones. We belong to you, and we depend upon you. We come before you with deep reverence, fear and trembling, for we know you are a holy God, and we also know that our sins offend you. Give us the grace of coming before you with the proper humility. Give us the gifts of spiritual understanding, of true devotion, and of genuine faith. We pray that you give us your blessing and receive our worship this morning, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
