“And they devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42 ESV)
Our greatest joy and privilege as the church is to offer worship to our sovereign and holy God through our Great High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ. Worship on the Lord’s Day is the high point of every week and the most important thing that we do at Faith Reformed Church. We believe that Lord’s Day Worship is what prepares and empowers us to serve God through the rest of the week.
We understand worship as a meeting of the Triune God with his covenant people. In our worship, we gather before our Heavenly Father to offer a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving, to receive his gifts, and to hear his voice. God speaks to us through his Word and we respond in prayer and song.
It is our goal at Faith Reformed Church to have a worship liturgy that is full of the Word of God. We sing the Word of God (Psalms and biblically faithful hymns), hear the word the Word of God (the reading and expository preaching of scripture), pray the Word of God (appeal to the scriptures in prayer), and partake together in the Visible Word (the Lord’s Supper).
