On November 30th we will be having a soup lunch after the morning service. A free will offering will be collected and the money collected will be sent to Victory City Church in Rubaga, Uganda where it is used to buy food and other necessities for their Christmas outreach called Christmas Carnival. The Christmas Carnival is held the Sunday before Christmas and last year over 1500 people attended and all were blessed with something to take home for Christmas.  The money that was raised last year helped buy 400 kgs of sugar, 400 kgs of rice, 400 kgs of posho, 10 boxes of bathing soap, 10 boxes of washing soap, 400 kgs of beans, some clothing and other necessities. Following a time of giving the crowd gathers in the sanctuary and Pastor Henry Mugisha preaches the gospel and prays with the people. He and the congregation at Victory City Church are very grateful for this blessing. This year my husband, Jim and his brother,Tom will be visiting Uganda during Christmas Carnival and will be taking part in the event.

Please talk to Brenda Ramsay if you can help with this fundraiser. Please see sign up list and volunteer to help where you can. Thank you so much. During our lunch of soup, rolls and dessert there will be an opportunity to make a generous donation to the cause.  Revenue Canada rules will not allow charitable receipts to be issued for these donations.  The monies will be wired directly to the Victory City Church congregation.
