Brotherly love is the badge of Christ’s disciples

Brotherly love is the badge of Christ’s disciples

Scripture, Matthew 22: 37-39, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. Love your neighbour as yourself.

Devotion; Trust God

It’s hard to believe that God asks no more than to bring Him our problems and then close the door.

Psalm 9:9,10, The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, and a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Today trust and obey, and tomorrow obey and trust. What can prayer do for you?

Prayer guards you against taking matters into your own hands. When making decisions, pray, and ask what does God want me to do. This shows your dependance on the Lord for His Guidance.

Prayer can guard you from the influence of family and friends. Yes they can be helpful, but your prayer seeks the wisdom of God rather than the knowledge of man.

Prayer guards you against missing God’s will. Don’t let feelings hinder you from choosing God’s will. Pray until your heart is truly open to God’s leading.

Remember God loves you always. He will never leave or forsake you. My prayer for all is to love one another and show kindness. Be accepting of our differences. Say a little prayer and all will be well.

God’s word + prayer = POWER

Prayerfully yours,

Nancy
