Jesus says to us, “My son, give me thine heart.” He wants the heart, not because it is a garden, but that He may make a King’s garden of it.
Devotion: “Show me the way”
Show me the way, not to fortune or fame, not to win laurels or praise for my name…….but show me the way to spread the great story that Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory.
Psalm 63:2, I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
Today, concentrate on ways you can spread the Good News. Prayer, in my search of good material about prayer and ways to learn about prayer, I think we can all attest that the world is a spiritual battle-ground. From Jesus’ prayer in John 17 ( He prayed for Himself, his disciples and all believers.) We learn that Satan and his forces are in great struggle against God for the hearts and souls of men. Therefore, Jesus interceded and continues to intercede, asking the Father to keep you and me safe from Satan’s power. Jesus prayed that the Father would keep us set apart, pure and united under the banner of the truth of Scripture.
We must pray for others as Jesus did. Pray for protection from the evil one. Pray for their holiness. Pray for unity in our church and among believers. Knowing the Jesus is interceding for you and me should give us great confidence as we also pray and work for His Kingdom.
Our Heavenly Father wants us to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ. I have chosen some names that can be added to your daily devotions.
1) Elsie
2) Marlene and Ken
3) Dave, Nancy and Kim
4) Linda
5) Kathy
My Prayer for all is to love one another and be accepting o our differences.
The Lord gave us smiles to share with all, especially those who are lonely.
Remember God loves you always and will never leave or forsake you.
Let the Lord hear your voice in prayer. Have a loving relationship with him.
God’s wird + prayer = POWER.
Prayerfully yours,
Nancy
