Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from
above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like
shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might
be a kind of first fruits of all he created.
Gracious God and Heavenly Father,
You are all goodness and light. You are unchanging, constant, faithful, ever the same. Father, we thank you for every blessing and ability we enjoy, because you are the source of every gift we have. We are all unique and able to use what we have been given to be a witness to your gospel. You have chosen us as your people and have redeemed us through our Lord Jesus Christ. Keep us humble, LORD, and ever in awe of your amazing grace, that we may shine for you and draw others to yourself, for we ask it in Jesus’ name.
