In everything gives thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1Thessalonians 5:18.
Thinking about prayer intently. There are so many concerns that have an effect on our lives. Do we worry? No, as Christians we take it to the Lord in prayer. In times of hardship, worry, and when we have praises and much thankfulness, call on Jesus. I love the hymn “What a friend we have in Jesus”. The words say it all.

All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry,
Everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savour, still our refuge;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms He’ll take and shield thee;
Thou will find a solace there.
I find these words have comfort and direction. I hope it will help in your prayer life. Remember God loves you always and waits to hear your voice in prayer.
