Prayer Corner: Week of August 21st

Prayer Corner: Week of August 21st

Well here we are in the last days of summer. How fast time goes. We have seen all the goodness of God, beauty of nature in bloom. A gift from God. All of God’s gifts are prepared in advance and reserved for needs foreseen. He knows our future needs, and out of the fullness of Jesus Christ He provides from His goodness. Therefore we must trust Him for all our future needs. He has infallible foreknowledge about every one of them. He can say to you in any condition, “I knew that you would need this.”

There was a traveler journeying across the lands and decided to pitch his tent for the night. Then he discovered he had forgotten some important essentials. “Ah,” he thought. I did not foresee this. If I could start all over I would have brought the things I missed. Our God has foreknowledge of all that His wandering children require. When those needs arise, the supplies are ready. It is goodness that He has prepared for the poor in heart. Goodness, and goodness only. “My grace is sufficient for you” (2 Cor. 12:9). “As your days, so shall your strength be”(Deut 33:25).

Is your heart heavy? God knew it would be. The comfort your heart wants is treasured in the sweet assurance of this text. You are poor and needy, but He knows your need and has the exact blessing you require. Plead this promise, believe it,  and you will obtain fulfillment.

Do you feel that you were never so consciously vile as you are now? The crimson fountain is still  open with all its former power to wash your sins away. Praise God!

We will never be in a position where Christ cannot help you. There will never be a bind in your spiritual life where Jesus Christ will not be equal to the emergency. Your history is foreknown and provided for in Jesus Christ. This is a promise!

Pray and continue to lean on the Lord for He does know our needs. Prayer + God’s word = power. No matter what you may have done in your life the crimson fountain makes sin white as snow, forgive by our Father. What a blessed assurance for all of us.
