Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)

Text: Psalm 119:13
With my lips I declare all the rules of your mouth.
In verse 11 we read about storing up the Word of God in our hearts in order to keep from sinning. In our verse for today we have a similar idea. When we hide in ourheart the words that God has spoken in His Word, they become the refrains of worship.
The best way to honour God is to recite back to Him the very words He has spoken. His words are full of grace and truth, and praising Him with His words in our mouth demonstrates our loyalty to Him. Again, this is why memorization and meditation are so important. And it is the basis for worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in truth.
Prayer: Father God, may all that comes out of my mouth be nothing but praise honour and glory to you. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
