Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)
October 9 2026
Text: Psalm 119:70
Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in your law.
We have all seen bullies before – angry, bitter, heartless, uncaring souls who just want to inflict pain. Satan is a bully too. Calloused and unfeeling. The Good News is that God is neither of those things. He is a living and loving God, who cares for His children. And how do we know that? Because we delight in His law. We delight in His Word. The Word tells us all that we need to know about the Lord. And the more we learn about Him, the joy factor increases. And nothing that the devil can do, even through other people, can minimize that joy. We should be able to say – I don’t care what the bully says, or what my enemy says, I will delight in the Lord and nothing can change that. That is a faith that come from His Word; that comes from the Lord.
How about you? How are you doing with those who might “bully” you because of your faith?
Prayer: Almighty God, I thank you for the joy and delight you have put in my heart because of faith in Jesus Christ. I rejoice that nothing can snatch me out of your hand. Be glorified in and through me today. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
