Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)

Text: Psalm 119:75
May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.
In Psalm 136 it identifies God’s love as enduring 16 times another 28 times throughout the NIV Old Testament. In 2 Timothy 2:13 we are reminded that when we are unfaithful, He remains faithful because He cannot deny Himself. And that means that He is faithful to all the promises spoken in the Bible. In 2 Corinthians 1:2O we are reminded that all the promises of God have been fulfilled in Jesus Christ. These are His promises to His children, to His servants – to us. And that is why we can find comfort in them, because His faithfulness in His promises cannot deny who He is. That means when we we are unfaithful, He is faithful. When we are in need of comfort, He is our comfort. The bottom line is that the more we eat and digest His Word, the more we discover how faithful He is to us.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for the reminder that you are faithful to your Word, and your faithfulness evidenced in ypir Word gives me comfort. Jesus, be the daily bread I need today. And may your Word be my comfort food by the power of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
