Prayer Corner: Week of August 16th

Prayer Corner: Week of August 16th

 My ways

Do you sometimes feel your prayers are not answered or maybe even

Acknowledged? Remember God has not promised to rescue us according

To our time schedule. Don’t dishonour the Lord with disbelief.

Waiting in faith is a high form of worship. God delivers His servants in ways

That exercise their faith, for faith is the wealth of the heavenly life. He

Desires that the trial of faith continues until faith grows strong and comes

To full assurance. The sycamore fig never ripens into sweetness unless it

Is bruised; the same is true of faith. Tested believer, God will bring you

Through, but do not expect Him to bring you through in the way that

Human reason suggests, that would not develop your faith.

God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. He plants

His footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm.

Your fearful saints, fresh courage take; the clouds you so much dread are

Big with mercy and shall break I blessings on your head. Judge not the

Lord by feeble sense, but trust Him for His grace.

God is his own interpreter and He will make it plain.

Isaiah 55:8, My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are my ways your ways.

Job 37:4, “Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God”

Obey Him and that will be far more in accord with your position as a

Finite creature than the vain attempt to map out a course for your Creator.

(All above is a writing of Charles Surgeon)

My pray for all is to love one another, be kind and compassionate.

Have faith in the Lord always even when going through the valleys of life.

Remember God loves us always. Let Him hear your voice in prayer.

Prayerfully yours,

Nancy
