Prayer Corner: Week of Sept 22nd

Light in the darkness

The upright will have days of darkness, sickness, sorrow poverty, and depression. We just can’t escape it in life. Our finances may take wing and fly away and maybe our righteousness may be cruelly suspected by all. Clouds may lower around us, but any gloom will not last forever, because in due time the Lord will bring light.
As surely as a good person’s sun goes down, it will rise again. The darkness depression brings will be comforted by the Holy Spirit. If our finances falter or we have personal bereavement, Christ’s presence will give us solace. If there is cruelty or malignity, the Lord’s sympathy will give us support.
It is as ordinary for the righteous to be comforted as it is for the day to dawn. Wait for the light, it will surely come. If our Heavenly Father in our last hour puts us to bed in the dark, it will be morning when we awaken.

God’s Word + prayer=power.
Prayerfully yours,
