For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
We humbly thank you for your gracious gift of saving faith. We are unworthy and unable to please you on our own. Thank you for sending your dear Son, Jesus, to do the work of perfect obedience for us, to shelter us from your wrath, and to impute to us his righteousness so that we might be reconciled to you. Let us always remember that it is none of us and all of Jesus, the unblemished Lamb of God who has taken away our sins and made us whole. We are grateful that Martin Luther and the Reformers went back to the scriptures to uncover this truth again and bring light to the dark world of error and unbelief. May we also do our best to shine your light in our actions and our words.
In Christ’s name. AMEN
