Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a Lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)

Text: Psalm 119:20
My soul is consumed with longing for your rules at all times.
This verse sounds similar to the verse in the Beatitudes– “blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied”. It is His righteousness that consumes us and put a longing in us for him. Only the Word of God can satisfy that consumption and that longing. That is why Jesus called it “daily bread”. The more we eat, the more are satisfied, the more we want more and the more we long to be faithful and obedient.
Prayer: Heavenly, as I consume and eat the Word today, may I truly be satisfied and strengthened to obey your Word today. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
