Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a Lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)

Text: Psalm 119:19
I am a sojourner on the earth; hide not your commandments from me!
All of us are sojourners. A sojourner is a temporary resident, a traveler, or a guest who stays in a place for a short or prolonged time without settling permanently. As Christians we are pilgrims on a journey. But just as people, we are always on the move. And this means we need to be attentive to the Word we might need in any situation. And that is why we need to be in the Word on a daily basis, so we are not distracted or pulled away from the Word of God. Wherever we are, or whatever we are facing, the Lord can give us a daily Word to guide and to protect.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, in whatever situation or circumstance I might find myself today, grant me a Word from your written Word to give me guidance and encouragement. That through that Word, I will bring glory to you in all things. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
