Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)

Text: Psalm 119:42
“…then I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in your word.”
The first part of this verse was in yesterday’s Daily Light Devotinal and the verse articulated the Gospel of the incarnation of the second person of the Trinity, in Jesus Chrsirt. It pointed the cross for salvation, and to the promise of knowing Jesus more.
And here is the Good News for us today. The more that the Word of the Gospel is in us, the easier we will find it to respond to the skeptics and mockers of the Gospel. And why is it easier? Simply because we are trusting the Lord, the Word in everything. Know the written Word, which enables us to know the living Word (who is Jesus), the more confident we become in witnessing about Jesus. Let us keep growing in the Word so we can keep growing in the Lord.
Prayer: Thank you, Father, for the written Word that points us to Jesus. Thank you, Jesus, for being the living Word, written on our hearts. Holy Spirit, help us to recognize those moments that you are creating for us to share the Good News of Jesus. Almighty God, be glorified in and through me today. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
