Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)

Text: Psalm 119:55
In the night, Lord, I remember your name, that I may keep your law.
We read the Word of God not just for “information”. We also read the Word of God for “transformation”. And this transformation happens as we get to know the Lord more and more.. This is why the Psalmist says “I remember your name”. Knowing and remembering the name denotes intimacy and closeness. And as we know the Lord and more, the more we want to be obedient to the Word of God. And the more obedient we are, the more the Lord desires to know us ever more. And the more we desire to know Him, the more we will want to keep all the laws of the Lord. This is why we keep reading the Word, that we might know the Lord more and be more honourable to him by obeying the Word.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I read your Word more and more, may I know you more and more. And as I know you more and more, may I truly be inspired to keep your law and bring glory to you in all things. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
