Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)
October 29 2026
Text: Psalm 119:84
How long must your servant wait? When will you punish my persecutors?
The Psalmist cries out – “How long must your servant wait?” At first this may seem that the Psalmist is drowning in his circumstances and is not standing on the Word of God. But his next question demonstrates trust in the Lord. He asks – “When will you punish my persecutors?” The Psalmist knows that they Lord will fight his battles, and deliver him (see Psalm 18 and verses 3, 14 and 17). Our questions, word with the right perspective can be expressions of faith. The right question can be a declaration of faith.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for always being faithful to your promises. May all my questions, asked in moments of anxious, actually be statements of trust and faith in you. Be glorified in and through me today. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
