Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)
October 30 2026
Text: Psalm 119:85
The arrogant dig pits to trap me, contrary to your law.
It is quite easy to think that the pitfalls we experience in life might be from the Lord. But our God is a good God, and desires for our path to be smooth and is smooth as we are obedient to Him. On 8 different occasions we have enemies digging pits for the people of God. But in Psalm 7:15 it says that those who dig the pit, fall into it themselves. That is the faithfulness of the Lord. He will not allow the enemy to take advantage of us – eventually the enemy will fall into his own trap.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for the reminder that while you may test us, you do set out to trap us. Thank you for the reminder that the enemy’s pit against us, is contrary to your Word and will. Deliver me in victory and I will give you the glory. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
