Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)
October November 2 2026
Text: Psalm 119:86
All your commands are trustworthy; help me, for I am being persecuted without cause.
When the Psalmist says that the Lord’s commands are trustworthy, he is also saying that they are believable, and they are reliable. And he can say this because he knows that they reflect the character of God. God is trustworthy, God is believable and He is reliable. The Psalmist knows that these characteristics are true and that is why he know God will help him in the midst of His persecution. Faith in the Lord does not mean that we won’t see trouble. Rather, it means that the Lord will walk with us and in that path we can know His victory.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for the reminder that despite my overwhelming circumstances, you have not abandoned me – you are walking with me and I will see you victory. Be glorified in and through me today. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
