Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)

Text: Psalm 119:26
When I told of my ways, you answered me; teach me your statutes!
What a joy it is to be able to make our ways, trouble and concerns known to the Lord. The Lord is profoundly concerned for us, and He wants to hear us. That is why Paul says we have an incredible privilege to draw near to the Lord; to come boldly to the throne of grace to make our requests and petitions known to Him.
And what does the Lord do? He answers. He gives more wisdom and more insight. He opens us to more of His laws, His statutes. And we are the better for it. That is why whatever our issue is, we need to be in the Word, which is our action of drawing near to Him. The Lord will never stop showing us the wisdom of His Word. Praise the Lord.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, it brings great peace knowing that you hears our prayers and will lead us more into your Word to gain Your wisdom as to how to live. Empower me today to reflect your Word and glory to this world. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
