Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)
March 20 2026
Text: Psalm 23:4-5
In Psalm 23 verses 4 and 5 we have more names from within the text that describe Jesus:
• Jehovah-Shammah – “You are with me” (Vs 4): The Lord is present; He is always with us, even in the valley of the shadow of death.
• Jehovah-Nissi – “Table in the presence of my enemies” (Vs 5): The Lord our Banner, who provides victory in battle.
• Jehovah-M’Kaddesh – “You anoint my head with oil” (Vs 5): The Lord who sanctifies and sets apart
Theses names describe the Lord’s faithfulness to us and explains why he, and He alone, is worthy of all praise, honour and glory.
As you go throughout this day – keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the one who is present with you; who is a banner over you and who sanctifies you.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for always being with me, for covering me and granting victory and sanctifying me every day. As I surrender myself and this day to you, be glorified in all that I am and in all that I do. In your name I pray. Amen.
