Daily Light: June 8th

Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a Lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)

June 8, 2026

Text: Romans 5:2

Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

One of the realities that Christian often fail to recognize is that the “privilege”, “favour”, “grace” that we have, is available to us NOW. Yes, the fullness of it all will be made fully known when Jesus comes in all His glory. But this privilege is ours now. Note that it is “undeserved”. We don’t earn it or work for it, but rather because of Jesus Christ, it is lavished upon us(Ephesians 1:3).  This privilege is the fact that in Christ we have become the children of God and as siblings to Jesus, all that is His, is also ours. There is nothing that we don’t have. We have His peace, His joy, His strength, His wisdom and His purpose. We lack for nothing and therefore we can walk in confidence and assurance; with joy and peace.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for your undeserved privilege that is mine in Christ Jesus. I submit myself to you Lord Jesus, rejoicing with joy and peace that I don’t have to walk with my head down in times of discouragement but I am able to, and I will, lift my head and fix my eyes on you and my thoughts upon you. Be glorified in and through me today. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
