Daily Light Devotional: Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105)

Text: Psalm 119:58
I have sought your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise.
Many of the promises from God have to do with knowing Him intimately. For example, see Jeremiah 29:13. Seeking the Lord’s face, seeing His face, emphasizes God’s desire for an intimate relationship. Moses had this kind of relationship where God spoke to him face to face, clearly and not in riddles. In Christ we have this same kind of relationship.
It is God’s desire that we have this kind of encounter with Him and the more time we spemd in the Word of God, letting the Word of God transform, the more likely we are going to experience the fulfillment of His promises to us.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the promise that you want to be in a relationship with us. What a privilege that is. Holy Spirit help me to remain in the Word of God, until such time that I experience the fullness of this relationship. Be glorified in and through me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
